Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka's birthplace was Minsk in Belarus. Her father Sergey (d. 2019) was an Ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk on May 5, 1998. Her career has seen her won twelve WTA singles titles. One of them was an Australian Open Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. As a specialist of doubles She also took home both the US Open of 2019 as and in the Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. She also achieved the Sunshine Double in 2019, winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open along with Elise and Mertens. This feat was made possible by four couples playing in the women's doubles. In the month of January, 2023, she reached her highest ranking in singles. On 23rd August 2021, she rose to number two in World rankings. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles event in February of 2021 She was able to move up the rankings and take over the top spot on the list of that particular specialty. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach in 2018 until the season ended in the year 2019. He also coached her for a short time in 2020, at the beginning of. Dieter Kindlmann also served as her coach for short periods from August to September of 2020. Since the end of 2020 she has been coached by her countryman Antonio Dubrov.
